Parents and children in Watford will be excited to learn that the UK’s most experienced day camp provider, Camp Beaumont, is bringing lots of fun and learning to the area at Watford Grammar School this autumn.
The team is preparing to welcome children to its first set of camps this October half term, where they will get to take advantage of the school’s expansive sports hall, dance hall and art studio.
Camp Beaumont will be running its successful Playtime, Magic, Active and Teen programmes during the school break between 25 and 29 October, with lots of spooky Halloween inspired crafts and games to look forward to including pumpkin carving workshops.
The bespoke Camp Beaumont programmes at Watford Grammar School for three to 16-year-olds are designed to help children get active, challenge them mentally, build new life skills, discover new interests – and most importantly, help them grow in confidence. And there’s enough to suit a wide range of interests.
For the adventurous explorer, activities like archery and coding, medieval tournaments and sensory adventure will give children a real sense of excitement. For sporty types, there’s everything from yoga and wellness workshops to ball sports and hockey to test their athletic abilities and get them moving. And for artists, actors and musicians in the making, Camp Beaumont also offers a number of opportunities to be creative, from scrapheap challenges to clay work. They will even get the chance to prove they are the camp’s next big star in Beaumont’s Got Talent.
Jof Gaughan, Executive Director at Camp Beaumont, said: “It is great to be able to add Watford Grammar School to our portfolio of outstanding school locations and we look forward to welcoming our campers to the site this October half term.
“Since 1704, Watford Grammar School has been nurturing independence, ambition and creativity in young people, which really resonates with us.
