Cassiobury fireworks among Muddy Stilettos list of best Herts fireworks displays

If unsure of where to see fireworks this Guy Fawkes Night, the event gurus at popular lifestyle publication Muddy Stilettos have compiled a handy guide to the best displays in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

Taking place over the next two weeks, there are so many spread out that you can see multiple displays if you fancy a bit of travelling.

Watford

As you might expect, Watford’s Cassiobury Park fireworks display features in the list of “lovely local fireworks displays”, with the largest free display in the county taking place on Saturday evening (November 1).

Bushey

The town’s annual display is just a day later (November 2) and takes place at the Metropolitan sports club.

A Take That tribute act is kicking off the festivities at 5pm before the main display an hour later.

Elsewhere in Hertfordshire

If you want to venture a little further afield, the guide also recommends the “spectacular” display in St Albans’ Verulamium Park on November 8.

On November 2, Brocket Hall near Welwyn Garden City has promised punters its “biggest ever” fireworks event, with face painting, a bubble show and live music ahead of the display.

Ideal for younger children, London Colney’s display on November 2 at the Morris Way Playing Fields will start at the earlier time of 4pm and include hot drinks, funfair rides, games and food stalls.

The other Hertfordshire displays included in the guide are:

  • Letchworth Rugby Club, October 31
  • Tring Park Cricket Club, November 8
  • Redbourn Common, November 8
